Ch.Brisson Côtes de Castillon – An experience for true connoisseurs
Château Brisson is located in Belvès-de-Castillon on the north bank of the Dordogne, where clay-limestone soils similar to those of Saint-Emilion give both ripeness and freshness. The vineyard is planted mainly with Merlot, supported by Cabernet varieties that add spice and structure. According to estate information the grapes are harvested by hand, fermented in temperature-controlled tanks and matured for about a year in French oak. The bouquet offers juicy notes of blackberry, black cherry and plum with hints of oak, coffee and liquorice. On the palate Château Brisson is full, rounded and lively, with fine tannins and a long, fruit-driven finish that works beautifully with beef, stews and savoury cheeses.
