Ch.Pavie Decesse Saint Emilion – An experience for true connoisseurs
Château Pavie Decesse is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from a very small vineyard on the limestone plateau above Pavie. Vines rooted in red and brown clay over hard limestone, planted mostly with Merlot and some Cabernet Franc, give a wine of depth and tension. The nose offers dark fruits, plum and black cherry alongside spice, licorice, earthy nuances and fine oak. On the palate it is full-bodied and structured, with ripe, grippy tannins and fresh acidity that carry a long, mineral finish. It is a striking partner for beef, lamb, hearty stews and aromatic dishes with mushrooms or truffle. With some time in the glass it becomes increasingly complex and expressive.
