Château Cap de Faugères is located in Sainte-Colombe in the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, on a clay-limestone slope that extends the geology of Saint-Emilion. The 18-hectare vineyard is planted, according to the estate, with about 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and is certified HVE3. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks to preserve brightness and fruit. The bouquet offers ripe red and dark berries, cherry and plum with a touch of spice and subtle toast. On the palate Château Cap de Faugères is juicy, approachable and neatly structured, with supple tannins and a fruit-driven, elegant finish – a modern, easy-drinking Right Bank Bordeaux.
