On the palate it is full‑bodied, silky and beautifully balanced, with sherry and oak very much in the foreground. Dried fruits, walnuts, dark chocolate and gentle smoke build layer upon layer. The finish is intense, long and warming, with lingering sherry sweetness and a touch of savoury spice. A distinguished dram for slow evenings and special celebrations. | |
