| Laibach Pinotage Unfiltered is a distinctive red from the Simonsberg ward of Stellenbosch. Vines rooted in decomposed granite soils and sustainable vineyard work provide naturally low yields. The wine shows deep ruby colour and aromas of black cherry, plum, vanilla, dark chocolate and gentle oak spice. On the palate it is full-bodied, spicy and layered, with firm but ripe tannins giving grip. The unfiltered bottling preserves texture and authentic fruit expression. A long, gently smoky finish with hints of coffee and herbs makes this Pinotage a superb match for hearty meat dishes. Served in large glasses, it shows ever more layers with time in the decanter. | |
