Laibach Vineyards
Between the Simonsberg and the Klapmutsberg, Laibach Vineyards in Stellenbosch carries a farm narrative that reaches back to 1818, when these slopes formed part of the vast “Good Success” property. Deep red, iron-rich soils and cooling valley air set the tone: vineyard decisions are made for detail, not drama.
In 1994, Friedrich Laibach turned a long-held dream into an estate, followed soon by a purpose-built cellar. Since 2022, Johann & Paul Krige have stewarded the site with a neighbour’s respect for place—selective handpicking, gentle extraction, élevage in wood and time on fine lees to shape line, texture and longevity.
The result is a Stellenbosch signature that speaks through structure and balance: disciplined, terroir-led, and crafted to evolve gracefully over years.Laibach Vineyards
