Parcellaires de Saulx Chapelle Chambertin rouge gc. – An experience for true connoisseurs
Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru from Les Parcellaires de Saulx is a powerful yet refined expression of Pinot Noir from one of the great climats south of Gevrey-Chambertin. The bouquet combines black cherry, blackberry and redcurrant with violet, rose petal and delicate spice. On the palate the wine is full and layered, but remains silky and precisely delineated. Ripe berry fruit, densely knit tannins and vibrant acidity create impressive tension. Hints of forest floor, smoke and subtle oak underline the noble character. The finish is long, complex and mineral-driven, making this Grand Cru a superb match for braised beef, game or dishes featuring mushrooms and truffles.
