The vines are rooted in poor paragneiss with very little topsoil, giving small berries, density and marked minerality. On the nose the wine shows exotic fruit, mandarin and ripe peach, backed by blossom honey and gentle herbal notes. On the palate the Riesling is concentrated yet elegant, with juicy stone fruit, a touch of extract sweetness and taut acidity. Cool, salty minerality runs from the first sip into the long finish and adds plenty of tension.
