Corte Medicea
Above Florence’s skyline, among olive trees and stone terraces, the spirit of Corte Medicea in Tuscany lives in the ancient Villa Medicea di Lilliano—first recorded as a watchtower in the 11th century and refined into a country villa in the Renaissance.
Today the estate focuses on organic viticulture in the Chianti Colli Fiorentini, working parcel by parcel. Sangiovese sets the cadence, while Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot shape selected cuvées. Fermentations are often spontaneous, extraction is kept gentle, and élevage in French oak barriques and tonneaux is matched to the vintage rather than routine.
Limestone-strewn soils, cooling night air and measured slopes give the wines definition and drive: a Tuscan signature that speaks quietly of place, craft and centuries of continuity.Corte Medicea
