Juliana Wieder

In Mittelburgenland, where Neckenmarkt is proudly known as Blaufränkischland, red wine feels native – and at Weingut Juliana Wieder (Neckenmarkt) it is a fifth-generation family story. After 1986 the farm’s mixed agriculture was steadily transformed into a dedicated wine estate; today around 40 hectares are shaped by sites such as Bodigraben, Spiegelberg and Hochberg.

Soils shift from loam to gneiss and mica-schist, giving each vineyard its own pulse. Blaufränkisch leads the lineup, supported by Zweigelt, Merlot or Cabernet, always with one aim: make origin readable rather than manufactured. Selective hand harvest, meticulous cellar work and an élevage split between steel and wood—depending on the lot—favor structure, freshness and clarity. The result is Mittelburgenland DAC with a sense of place you can feel.
