| Trénel’s Viré-Clessé is a pure Chardonnay from the limestone and clay plateaus north of Mâcon. In the glass it displays a pale golden colour with silvery highlights. The nose is complex and fragrant, combining grapefruit, lime and ripe pear with touches of mango, white peach, blossom and a hint of white pepper. On the palate the wine is round yet lively, showing ripe fruit, vibrant freshness and a fine, chalky minerality on the finish. This balance of juiciness, tension and aromatic intensity makes it an ideal partner for fish, seafood, white meats or subtly spiced Asian dishes.
