Ch.Le Crock Saint Estèphe – An experience for true connoisseurs
Château Le Crock sits in Saint‑Estèphe between Cos d’Estournel and Montrose, benefiting from the moderating influence of the nearby Gironde estuary. Its thirty‑plus hectares are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot on gravel, sand and clay that store heat while draining freely. Many of the vines are old and yield naturally concentrated fruit, harvested by hand and vinified parcel by parcel. Ageing takes place in French oak barrels, a proportion of them new. The bouquet reveals blackcurrant, dark berries and plum with notes of tobacco, cedar and spice. On the palate this Cru Bourgeois is powerful and dense yet well balanced, with ripe tannins, lively acidity and a long, mineral finish.
