Ch. Rollan de By Médoc: The Essence of True Craftsmanship
Château Rollan de By is a Cru Bourgeois from the Médoc and offers a supple, characterful expression of left-bank Bordeaux. Vines grow on clay-gravel hilltops near the Gironde and are planted mainly with merlot, supported by cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and petit verdot. The nose shows blackcurrant, cherry and red berries with notes of vanilla, licorice and cedar. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, juicy and rounded, with soft, silky tannins and good mid-palate weight. Spicy tones and a touch of cocoa linger on the medium-long finish. A versatile choice for grilled meats, roasts, stews and cheese boards.
