Domaine Laporte
Along the Loire at Saint-Satur in the Val de Loire, Domaine Laporte has been shaping its voice since 1850, weaving together two Sancerre family lineages into one focused estate. Across roughly 21 hectares, each parcel is treated as its own chapter—from the flinty slope of “Le Rochoy” to limestone-backed sites around Sancerre.
Since the move to certified organic farming (from the 2013 vintage), the work is defined by quiet precision: cover crops, careful canopy management and strict hand selection. A modern gravity-flow cellar replaces pumps, keeping juice and wine intact; élevage in stainless steel and neutral oak, often with time on fine lees, builds definition without makeup.
The philosophy is simple: let Sancerre read as place—line, texture and terroir resonance—cleanly cut, poised, and driven by the cool architecture of silex.Domaine Laporte
