Mosbacher Georg
In the village center of Forst in Germany’s Pfalz, Weingut Georg Mosbacher has pursued one goal since 1921: letting place speak clearly. Founded by Richard Mosbacher Sr. and named after his father Georg, the estate has been part of the VDP since 1928 and is now led by Sabine Mosbacher‑Düringer together with Jürgen Düringer.
Around Forst, Deidesheim and Wachenheim, geology shifts from weathered red sandstone to basalt and limestone debris – a natural stage for Riesling, alongside Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc. Organic farming has guided the vineyards since 2012, with meticulous hand harvest and parcel-by-parcel selection. Sites such as Pechstein, Ungeheuer and Jesuitengarten are treated like individual chapters, while gentle cellar work and patient élevage protect precision, tension and a distinctly Pfalz sense of structure.Mosbacher Georg
