Benanti Pietra Marina 2019 Etna doc bianco Superiore, 1,5l Magnum

BrandBenanti
RegionEurope - Italy - Sicily
CategoryWines - White wine

Benanti Pietra Marina Etna DOC Bianco Superiore Magnum contains the same iconic Carricante as the 0.75-litre bottle but benefits from the slower evolution that large formats provide. Old vines near Milo grow on stony volcanic soils and yield an intensely mineral, salty white wine with striking tension. The nose shows citrus fruit, green apple, herbs, fennel and smoke, all of which gain further complexity as the wine ages. On the palate it is taut, focused and remarkably deep, with vibrant acidity and impressive mid-palate drive. The magnum format favours a particularly slow, harmonious development of aromas over time. The finish is very long, cool, saline and complex. A perfect size for the cellar, festive tables and gastronomic occasions when you want to experience the full ageing potential of a great Etna Bianco.
