| Hommage à Jacques Perrin is Château de Beaucastel’s legendary flagship cuvée, produced only in selected vintages from very old vines in the estate’s finest parcels. The blend is dominated by a very high share of Mourvèdre, completed by Grenache, Syrah and Counoise, giving immense concentration, spice and structure. Yields are kept extremely low, all fruit is hand‑picked, vinified by variety and then aged for an extended period in oak. The bouquet delivers black berries, blueberry and plum layered with violet, game, pepper, graphite and refined toast. On the palate Hommage à Jacques Perrin is deep, powerful and yet silky, with dense tannins, vibrant freshness and a monumental, complex finish – a Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape made for long ageing. | |
