| Marof Chardonnay Kramarovci is sourced from a highly regarded volcanic site in Prekmurje. The nose shows yellow plum, apricot and chamomile, supported by hints of honey, nuts and gentle spice. On the palate the wine is powerful and taut, with creamy texture, vibrant acidity and a firm mineral backbone. Extended lees ageing adds depth, fine richness and a discreet smoky nuance. Despite its intensity the Chardonnay remains precise, with clearly defined fruit and well integrated oak. The finish is long, saline and layered, echoing stone fruit, herbs and roasted almond. Kramarovci is an excellent match for noble fish, poultry in sauce and rich, buttery cuisine. | |
