| Sauvignon Blanc Bodonci comes from one of Marof’s most prized single vineyards and ranks among the estate’s flagship wines. Old vines rooted in calcareous, quartz‑rich soils give small yields of highly concentrated fruit, all harvested by hand. Spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts and ageing on fine lees in wooden barrels build impressive density and complexity while keeping the wine focused. The nose bursts with tropical notes of mango and passion fruit, joined by citrus, peach, herbs and subtle toast. On the palate the Sauvignon is intense, with juicy structure, vibrant acidity, a creamy texture and pronounced minerality. A powerful, characterful white to serve with fine fish, shellfish, crustaceans or aromatic vegetable dishes, clearly expressing the class of the Bodonci site. | |
