Blaufränkisch forms the backbone, complemented by Zweigelt, Merlot and Pinot Noir matured in a mix of small barrels and large casks. The nose shows juicy cherry, redcurrant and elderberry, joined by herbs, forest floor, juniper and a gentle touch of toast. On the palate the wine is dry, smooth and succulent, with supple tannins and plenty of red-berry fruit. Fresh acidity keeps it lively and easy to drink while subtle mineral and cocoa notes add depth.
