The bouquet combines black cherry, blackberry and cassis with notes of forest floor, leather, tobacco, clove and a hint of menthol spice. On the palate the wine is dense and powerful yet precisely chiselled, with ripe, silky tannins and long-lasting intensity. A persistent stony minerality brings lift and freshness to the finish. This is a monumental Grand Cru for fine beef, game dishes or richly sauced mushroom cuisine. | |
