Cheval des Andes
At the foot of the Andes in Mendoza, Cheval des Andes has, since 1999, fused two cultures: Château Cheval Blanc’s precision with high‑altitude sites in Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley. Old Malbec parcels—often on their own roots—meet Cabernet Sauvignon, each lot harvested and selected with Grand Cru discipline.
Alluvial gravel and sandy soils, wide diurnal shifts and dry mountain winds shape natural freshness and line. Canopy work, small picking passes and strict sorting keep ripeness focused and definition sharp. In the cellar, measured extraction and a finely tuned élevage in oak aim for clarity of terroir and the elegance of the blend.
The result is an ‘Andes Grand Cru’ built on depth and balance rather than volume—an age‑worthy expression where Bordeaux know‑how speaks with an unmistakably Andean accent.Cheval des Andes
