Clos Saint Robert
Just south of Pessac-Leognan, on the gentle pull of the Garonne, the Clos Saint Robert guards a Graves address first recorded in 1686. Gravel, limestone and sand sit in layers around the château, giving naturally drained parcels and a steady, cool evening cadence.
Much of the vineyard forms a true ‘clos’ wrapped around the buildings, a compact landscape where each row is read like a page. Hand harvest, sorting and parcel selections set the tone; only the most complete lots are pushed further, with top cuvées spending extended time in new barriques for depth and tensile grain.
In the cellar, extraction stays measured, fermentations may run on native yeasts, and élevage is chosen to sculpt line and longevity rather than aroma. The result is a disciplined Bordeaux voice—texture over spectacle, clarity over weight—where terroir speaks in structure, freshness and a quiet, stony persistence.Clos Saint Robert
