Discover the character of Les Pagodes de Cos, Saint Estèphe
Les Pagodes de Cos is the second wine of Château Cos d’Estournel and shows a modern yet very Saint-Estèphe expression. Cabernet Sauvignon at the core gives deep colour and structure, supported by Merlot and other Bordelais grapes. The nose offers layers of dark red fruit, spice, smoke, cocoa, tobacco leaf, cedar and a hint of thyme and wet earth. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied but intense, with ripe, velvety tannins and fresh acidity. The finish is dry, long and distinctly mineral, echoing graphite and savoury spice. A characterful Médoc to serve with lamb, grilled beef or rich stews.
