Castello di Brolio
Between Gaiole in Chianti and the higher ridges of Toscana, Castello di Brolio translates the long Ricasoli 1141 lineage into contemporary Chianti Classico DOCG. The castle is a symbol, but the engine is site work: detailed terroir mapping and a disciplined focus on Sangiovese.
Vineyards span exposures and soils shaped by alberese limestone and galestro marl. Parcels are harvested and assessed separately to capture differences in altitude, wind and water balance. In the cellar, gentle maceration and temperature‑controlled fermentation aim for structure without exaggeration.
Ageing is layered—large casks (botte grande) for line and stability, with selected lots seeing barrique to refine texture and longevity. Gran Selezione thinking means strict selection and patient élevage. The result is a Brolio signature built on origin, precision and the confidence to evolve over time.Castello di Brolio
