Monte Faustino di Fornaser
High above the Adige valley in Veneto, the terraced slopes of Monte Faustino di Fornaser rise in San Pietro in Cariano—stone walls and vines shaped side by side over generations. The family’s first vineyard still sets the tone: small, steep, and worked by hand where machines don’t belong.
At around 250 metres, on limestone and marl, Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella ripen with bright days and cooling nights. Selective picking, gentle fermentations and long settling in the cellar aim for extract without excess; depending on the cuvée, large casks or tonneaux build frame and rhythm.
Fornaser treats Valpolicella as landscape craft: maintaining the historic ‘marogne’ terraces, respecting old vines, and allowing time to do the polishing. It’s Veneto tradition carried forward, quietly, with precision and patience.Monte Faustino di Fornaser
